Dear Visitor

School Logo

You may have noticed the new school logo appearing on letterheads, the rebranded school website and on school signage. The shape of the new logo reflects our global dimension of learning, with the coloured bands representing the individual subject areas that are taught across our Global Curriculum themes.

The Uniform Shop will be stocking items with our new logo from July '25 and you can place orders from this afternoon when the website goes live. The new uniform will be clearly marked on their website as 'pre-order' stock. The surplus 'old' stock that they hold will also be available to order from their website but at a heavily reduced price.

Whilst the new uniform is phased in over the next academic year, children can continue to wear uniform with the old logo until they grow out of it.

From July, the Uniform Shop will be stocking bookbags embroidered with the new logo and, along with the white PE t-shirts, they will also now stock royal blue PE t-shirts with the new logo (by popular demand!).

If you have any questions about uniform in general, please contact school. For specific questions about individual orders, please contact the Uniform Shop directly.

'Grendon Runners' Club - 2025 TCS Mini London Marathon In Schools

James, Heath and Rhys lead our 'Grendon Runners' Club and have helped to organise next Tuesday's TCS Mini London Marathon In Schools where children face the challenge of running, jogging or walking 2 miles.

As mentioned in last week's newsletter, the weather has been too hot this week for running and next Tuesday is much cooler. Children will be in PE kit anyway and they can decide on the day whether they would like to take part. If they start the challenge but decide part way through that it is a bit too far, they can obviously choose to stop - many children seem to be very keen to give it a go!

Bikeability 2025-26

It's a little way off but, next academic year, the local authority are once again offering fully-funded Bikeability training for Year 5 and 6 pupils. This will be a repeat of the training that took place this academic year. The training will take place in the week beginning 29th September and is spread over 4 days and the instructors take the children on local roads and equip them with the skills necessary to cycle safely.

All current Year 4 pupils and Year 5* pupils will be eligible to participate.

*who did not do the training this academic year

To secure your child's place on the training, please complete and return the editable consent form (either via email or as a hard copy) which can be found here. Bikeability has asked for all consent forms by Friday 13th June. After this time, your child's place cannot be guaranteed.
