Dear Visitor

Wraparound Care Update

The funding application for after-school childcare was successful and this puts Premier Education in a very strong position to offer an affordable, sustainable and successful provision at Grendon CE Primary School. Their Ofsted registration is also complete which means that we can move ahead more quickly than planned.

More information about costs, the booking process and what your child can expect from their sessions with Premier Education will follow shortly. You can also find more information about Premier Education in the Wraparound Care section of the school website. In the meantime, they will be hosting a Q&A session for parents via Teams next week which you are all invited to attend.

Dear Parents

We are excited to invite you to an informative Q&A session on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 17:00pm-17:30pm where we will discuss Premier Education's wraparound care services within Grendon CE Primary School. This initiative aims to provide flexible and reliable after-school childcare options, supporting working families and enhancing children's learning experiences.

Premier Education is the UK's largest provider of wraparound care, offering a range of activities that promote physical activity, social skills, and overall well-being in a safe and familiar environment.

The government has allocated £289 million to ensure all primary-aged children have access to wraparound care by 2026. This session will provide valuable insights into how this programme can benefit your family. Please see attached below Premier Educations Ultimate wrap around care guide.

We look forward to seeing you there and addressing any questions you may have.

Regards

Premier Education Team

TCS Mini London Marathon In Schools

Years 1-6 took part in the TCS Mini London Marathon In Schools on Tuesday. Our 'Grendon Runners' club organisers led the event, marking out the course, encouraging runners and keeping a tally of laps completed. Running, jogging or walking 2 miles is no easy task but there was a brilliant response from children with 77 out of 85 pupils taking part and 66 completing the challenge!

All of the runners received a special TCS Mini Marathon In Schools certificate and those who completed the challenge were awarded an engraved medal.

Once results and photos have been submitted, the school will receive a commemorative trophy to mark the pupils' achievement.

Residential Meetings

There will be plenty of time in school for staff to talk to children about the residential trips planned for later in the term. There will also be information meetings for parents to hear about the itinerary, kit list, travel arrangements and so on - details below. The meetings are very informal and allow time for questions.

Year 2 residential meeting - Wednesday 14th May at 3.45pm in Cedar Class

Year 4 residential meeting - Wednesday 21st May at 3.35pm in Pine Class

Year 6 residential meeting - Thursday 22nd May at 3.45pm in Pine Class
