‍Dear Visitor ‍

Navratri!

Year 1 and 2's current Global Curriculum theme is India and pupils enjoyed a wonderful day of activities to mark Navratri, one of the most important festivals in the Hindu calendar. Navratri is commemorated all over the world, with people coming together for 9 days of celebration of the Goddess, Durga.

Pupils made and tasted biryani, made colourful Dandiya sticks to use for dancing, planted flowers to represent new growth and learnt a dance - a whole lot of fun!

‍

Harvest

The school's Harvest Service takes place on Wednesday 22nd October in St. Mary's Church. As part of our work towards that, Early Years visited the Grendon allotment on Thursday, learning about all of the vegetables (and insects!) growing there. Here are our merry band of adventurers!

‍

Bikeability

Reminder for those children taking part on next week's Bikeability training. Please bring your bikes to school and leave them in the area behind the climbing frame, next to the Woodland Hideout. Don't forget to give the bikes one last check and remember your helmets! The training will take place all day on Monday and Tuesday.
