‍SIAMS Inspection

Church of England schools are subject to a SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) inspection approximately every five years. The inspection looks specifically at the school's Christian vision and values and the impact that this has on the work of the school. 

We were notified yesterday that our inspection will take place next week on Wednesday 28th January 2025. The inspection is for one day and with one inspector.

‍County Cross Country Finals

On the wettest of January days, James and Tahlia represented the school in the County Cross Country Finals at Abington Park on Saturday. Both qualified from the district heats and raced against the best in Northants on a very challenging course. Tahlia finished her race in 13th position and, although there is no onward race for Year 5s, it was a stunning performance and hopefully she will come back and do it all again next year! Meanwhile, James finished in 16th place in the Year 6&7 race and now has a nail-biting wait to see if he qualifies for the Regional Finals. A huge congratulations to them both!  

‍Open Afternoon - Thursday 12th February at 1.30pm

You are all warmly invited to join us for our Open Afternoon to mark the end of our current Global Curriculum themes. For those of you new to our Open Afternoons, please head to your child's class from 1.30pm where children will share their work from across the curriculum. I would also encourage you to visit the other classes in school which you are more than welcome to do. The afternoon is very informal and relaxed. School will be open as normal until 3.30pm but children can be collected from 3.00pm. 

Music is always an important part of our Global Curriculum and each class will be performing a song in the school hall at a set time in the afternoon. I will update you on timings for this closer to the Open Afternoon date.
