Hello Visitor,FOGS Colour RunFOGS marked the end of last half term with their fantastic Colour Run. It is the first time this event has been included in the FOGS calendar and, by all accounts, it was a brilliant success. Huge thanks for the FOGS team for setting up this new and very popular event! DatesWednesday 14th - Friday 16th June - Year 4 Residential Tuesday 20th June at 7pm - 2023 Reception Intake Information Meeting Starter Booklets have been sent out and we look forward to seeing parents of our new Reception cohort next week. Both Mrs Pritchard and Mrs Dyson will be at the meeting along with other school staff. Monday 26th - Friday 30th June - Year 6 Residential Please ensure that visit/medical consent forms are returned and that all payments have been made prior to the trip. Slides from the information meeting can be found here Wednesday 5th July - School photos Popi Sterling returns on 5th July to take informal year group photos during school time...hopefully outside in the sunshine. Monday 10th July 1.30-3.00pm - Sports Day The school's traditional sports day takes place on the afternoon of Monday 10th July. The competitive races come thick and fast as pupils compete in their house teams. On this day, pupils should come to school in their PE kit, ideally in their house colour t-shirt. Thursday 13th - Friday 14th July - Year 2 Residential (details to follow imminently) Wednesday 19th July - Whole School (Reception - Year 6) Lion King performance Thursday 20th July - Year 6 Leavers' Afternoon Tea Please return your reply slip for this event. Friday 21st July from 11.30am - Family Picnic at school All families are welcome to join us for our traditional last day picnic. Families are invited to set up their picnic on the grass bank in school from 11.30am, with their children joining them from 12.00. Lion KingAll the information about The Lion King performance can be found here. Hard copies of the letter were sent home last week with children. This end of year show promises to be a wonderful opportunity for the whole school to come together and for the Year 6s to end their time at Grendon with a truly memorable performance. Please return the reply slip no later than Friday 23rd June. At this time, first ticket allocations will be made and school will then begin to allocate addtional tickets based on your requests. If there are any parents who are willing and able to paint children's faces on the evening of the performance (between 5.30-6pm), please let the school office know! |
